Here is Savory Paleo Romesco, another easy sauce recipe that can be added to pretty much anything. This is an excellent cure to everyone who says that eating healthy is boring. Salads, meats, you name it and it goes well with this paleo romesco sauce.

Cheese is often included in non paleo versions but this is hearty enough to stand on it’s own. The almonds give a meaty and nutty taste that make for a rich and fulfilling sauce. Keep reading to see how easy this savory paleo romesco sauce is!

This paleo romesco sauce goes perfectly over… anything. Chicken thighs is one of my personal favorites! You may have seen this on the Grilled Bacon Burger recipe as well. Any way you can’t go wrong. Paleo Romesco Sauce Recipe


  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 head garlic, peeled
  • 1/2 yellow onion
  • 2 red peppers
  • sea salt
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • dashes of cayenne / ancho chile powder / paprika
  • water (if necessary)


  1. Roast all of the vegetables and nuts. Throw all of the ingredients on a sheet and bake at 350F. You will know when they are done when the almonds, garlic and peppers have a slight char on them. Time to remove from the oven!
  2. Blend all of the ingredients and seasonings together in a decent blender. A high speed like a BlendTec is the way to go here. Pulse and then add olive oil. Add water to desired consistency. Will thicken up upon getting colder as well so keep that in mind!
